The Framework

Personality as
organized living flow.

Developed through doctoral research by Dr Anna Armbruster, the Framework examines psychological organisation through the principles of energy, flow, field interaction, regulation, and coherence.

Energy-Oriented Psychotherapy® translates this perspective into clinical reading and therapeutic action: from isolated symptoms towards an understanding of the person as an organised, relational system.

The Shift

What therapists see depends on what they look for, and this determines how they intervene.

01

From Modality to Mindset

From a Framework perspective, methodologies and approaches are not competing ideologies. Instead, they are different tools for influencing the same human system from different angles. The important thing is not where the method came from, but what it does, how it helps the current treatment, and whether it helps restore free flow and organisation.

02

From Symptom to System Thinking

Symptoms are understood as signals of a broader pattern, which may indicate disrupted regulation, accumulated or fragmented activation, rigid defensive organisation, or loss of relational coherence.

03

From Psychological Description to Energetic Organisation

Instead of asking only what a person thinks or feels, the focus expands toward why the system moves, where it becomes blocked, and how different processes interact.

04

From Content to Process

Therapy becomes less about analysing stories and more about observing and influencing the energy dynamics through which those stories are generated.

05

From Diagnosis to Clinical Reading

Diagnosis often describes clusters of symptoms. The Framework perspective reveals the underlying organisation that sustains the symptoms.

06

From Technique to Structural Targeting

The central question is no longer “Which method should be used?”, but:
What needs to be changed in the system, and what exactly should we focus on?
